19th July 2007Unfortuneatly one of our members has lost a box full of spinners. I'm sure we've all experienced it and hated that feeling, especially when there are "emotional ties" to some of the spinners. Please keep an eye out for a blue based box with a clear lid. If you do find it please email me or evanslloyd@aol.com and we will organise pick up. I have been assured that there is a suitable reward on offer for the box and spinners being returned.
18th July 2007The PAA will hold a members (that includes visiters and day ticket members) Introduction to sewin fishing evening on the 28th of July at 19:00 at the Gorgon Car park. This is sign posted as the Angling centre. Visit the Events page for more details.
17th July 2007Well with the sewin well under way catches are vastly exceeeding last year to date, and with the water the way it is the spin fishermen are doing best. Yesterday saw a cracking 9lb Salmon weighted in so this may signal the start of the Salmon summer run.
16th July 2007Despite the wet weather Pembrokeshire fish week was a success, especially for 8 year old Joshua from Ambleston who caught his first sewin on his first cast, picture under events on the galleries page.
8th June 2007The season seems to have gotten under way: Mark Rees from Leterston (who won the PAA salmon Cup last year) has caught a 10lb salmon in the Pool up from Bridge 51(that's the Bridge above the disabled pool). The fish was fresh run, it still had lice marks on it, some of which were bleeding/very fresh. Also Karl Lownes has had 5 sewin already, the largest over 3lbs, and Mr Edwards from The Ship Inn, Fishguard who was spinning the W. Cleddau on Monday the 4th June caught 3 sewin and numerous brown trout.
